Ari, Z and Ruth are the 3 dogs we breed AKC currently. The documents show they are full Australian Shepherd and have a clear health panel. Z has one copy of HDMR1 that is a common drug sensitivity that is easily averted. Our females do not carry this so if this is passed to puppies it will only be one copy and is very little risk of issues.      

HDMR1 is a sensitivity to certain classes of drugs, notably the parasiticide ivermectin, as well as certain gastroprotectant and anti-cancer medications. To avoid any issues, notify your vet. This is so common most vets avoid medication that will effect HDMR1.
